Any advice on Cambodia or Laos?

Hey

I am heading to Cambodia and Laos for the month of November.  This is my first trip travelling alone and also my first time going to either of these countries.  I would love to hear from anyone who's been here and what they thought, what not to miss, what to remember etc.
