Travel to Rome and accommodation
Hello, finally I'm in Italy where I hope to find some materials for my master in italian folk music, specially that of the south of Italy.
City Breaks
If you are looking for a City Break these would be my top 5 recommendations - Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam and Prague. All of them are great for a weekend city break and there are lots of cheap flights to be had at the moment to get you to them. Helps with the January Blues to get something booked and these places I can highly recommend.

where to stay in rome
My name is Renato Mario Carusone i own a company of accommodation in Italy. We almost rent all the apartments for short period available in the city of Rome, we love to accommodate people in very hi standard of quality and comforts for apartments. We are present in the main location of the center of the city like Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori and all the main site in Rome. I do not wont you to book with us, just visit our site before book an apartment in the city and compare the price whit all the other site that rents apartment in Rome.
City bigamy
The first time I went to Paris I fell deeply in love with the city. A few years later, when I finally got to visit Rome, I also went madly in love with the Italian capital. I’ve come back to both a few times, in different trips, but I could never really decide which one I liked best. Well, now I have just come back from a trip to both Paris and Rome, I have to admit that, in the end, Paris is winning by a nose.
Bill versus the volcano (XII)
The final two days of this trip can be summarized as "roam Rome, go home." After close to two weeks of decidedly unconventional tourist activity, this was the time to do some more mainstream things in the Eternal City -- with an emphasis on "stream," as in "streams of water," as in you wouldn't believe how much it rained.
Bill versus the volcano (XI)
This one will be short, and the basic theme of the day, I'm sorry to say, is frustration.

OK, so here begins the much-delayed blogging of a 25th-wedding-anniversary trip to Italy, participants in which were my wife, our two college-student sons, the World's Greatest Mother-In-Law (hereinafter WGMIL), and of course, myself.
