The Diagonal Mar Park
Diagonal Mar Park is the third largest park in Barcelona. This park project is completed last quarter of 2006. During 2004, this was the site of first Universal forum of cultures, involving debates, theme exhibition and the world festival of Arts.
This 36 million Euro park where presently located is a former industrial district. Diagonal Mar Park is a large urban redevelopment project centered on Barcelona's famous 'Avenue Diagonal' near where the avenue meets the sea.
There are six general areas of the park: fountains, sports and amphitheatre area, a bar, magic fountains for the kids and dog area. The auditorium can host up to 3,200 people, making it the largest capacity conference facility in southern of Europe.
This place is one of the tourist destinations of Barcelona. A park acts as a link, a gateway between the city and the Mediterranean.
