Cannot praise this Riad enough. It has a lovely friendly, safe feel and the staff are great. Mamoun - you are a star! I only wish I had longer to spend there, easy walk to the souks yet tucked away and peaceful. Definitely have the Tagine - well worth it, it was delicious
If you have been trawling all the websites and still cannot make up your mind whether to stay in a Riad or hotel, then please let stop you now and suggest RIAD DAR NAJAT. I have just come back from Marrakech where my boyfrend and I stayed at RIAD DAR NAJAT. It is quite simply, everything you have ever imagined it to be. An authentic house with three floors, a fabulous roof terrace and 8 bedrooms, each decorated in rich fabrics and local artwork. It actually takes you a few days to take everything in.... a delight to anyone who has an interest in other cultures. The roof terrace was a perfect place to relax in the morning sun whilst having breakfast or pre dinner drinks (Rose' is the best ) whilst listening to cool Jazz or Buddah Bar type music. Breakfast is excellent but I suggest that you book to have dinner there, as it was by far one of the best we had during our whole stay. Moo Moo (Mustafa) is always there when you need anything and Siad the local celebrity who has recently worked alongside Tom Hanks and is always there to take you through the streets to your desired Spa Retreats.( He is also a bit of eye candy for the ladies). We had a fabulous time in Marrakech, certainly helped by choosig this Fab Riad! My only other suggestion would be, is to take some warm clothes as it is very cold a night, once the Sun has gone down!!

Dar-Najat.com was everything we expected of a Riad and more. The passionate owner Oliver and his relaxed, friendly staff really made our long weekend stay very special. All arrangements were 'spot on', from our courtesy airport pick up, room, meals, excursions and recommendations on dining, site seeing etc were all met with a friendly smile and sound advice. The decor and presentation of Dar Najat is excellent, really giving us the feel that we were staying somewhere exotic but at the same time relaxing and cool. Some of the time we just stayed in as the roof terrace and spa pool were all we needed, we ate in twice because the food was simply excellent, citrus chicken tagine mmm!! Complimentary mint tea, water and guides were a valued bonus.So if you're looking for a laid back, uber cool Riad to really make your trip to Marrakech memorable then book Dar Najat, you won't be disappointed - we certainly weren't. August in Marrakech.. it's dusty, dry, it's Ramadan and we wait to see if the temperature will hit 45 dregress.The air doesn't flow and bags don't carry themselves.. so who could imagine the relief and utter joy at stepping into a Dar Najat.. and into owner Oliver's oasis. Up two flights of stairs and you hit the roof terrance which to be honest, if you manage to leave after sumptous breakfast, it will be a miracle. Trees and flowers line the terrace, as do couches and tables. We eye up the jacuzzi and make a mental note to get back in time to watch the sunset in it, complete with a glass of good French wine in hand.The French born designer has got this place right. It is the only riad to go anyway to offering some of the Northern African influence... and it is not only reflected in the textiles and furniture but the mellow and uplifting beats which waft out across the terrace all through the day and into the night.Oliver loves his music and it sets the truly homely vibe that is magic to walk into.When we left there was another roof terrace in the making which will only entice you to delay heading to the souks for one more hour to soak up more sun, coffee and tunes.Go with a lover, go with a friend.. but this is one place you should go if you are on your own in the crazy city as you will make friends and get given the low down on what happening.

A stay at Riad Dar Najat will assure fine Moroccan dining and accommodations near the center of the city's famous Great Square. One should enjoy its safety and comfort as do many of my professional colleagues when in this beautifully mysterious region of the world.

I stayed there only one night but I wanted absolutely to share this with all of you. This Riad is a little paradise, do not miss an experience in Dar Najat, staff is just great and at your disposal for any need, they will always be here to give you an advice.The rooms are clean and the entier Riad is very well decorated, with terrasses and jacuzi, just perfect! Very well done ! I will come back.
