OK, I'm going RSS crazy lately (I *love* Google Reader)... Are there RSS feeds for this site available? If so, do they re-propagate feeds like blogs? (That would be my preference, BTW.) Jonboy
If I went to my user account and told Wikitravel that my blog had an RSS feed of http://extra.wikitravel.org/recent_changes/feed, wouldn't it then pick up all of the recent changes, add them back to Wikitravel, pick those up, and so on?
You mean wikitravel extra... duh. Yeah, uh, that could blow things up. If you're really curious, I could try it out on the dev site just to see what it would do ;-)
Stomping out the date bug is top of my list... unfortunately it's one of those rare gems that I can't seem to reproduce on the dev server so when I test a fix, it republishes everything here...
Whew. That was a super dumb bug... anyway, feeds will now grab the correct date going forward.
The trick is what to do with the one's already up: if I reload them they'll loose comments & votes... but there's a lot of them to fix by hand and I'm sure writing a bunch of one-off code to do this is the best use of my time...

yup
You can get an individual blog with any url like http://extra.wikitravel.org/blogs/jani/feed
or all the recent changes with http://extra.wikitravel.org/recent_changes/feed
and it does include feeds.
The one thing I don't think there is is a feed for all site content, but I can whip one up if you'd like it...

What content is missing from
What content is missing from http://extra.wikitravel.org/recent_changes/feed ?
Also, if I added to Wikitravel the above RSS feed, would the feedback loop cause it to explode? (Things I thought about on the boat to Naantali...)

keplosions
The only thing missing is the actual content-- it's just the titles and log messages.
Add it to Wikitravel how?

Incoming feeds still going nuts?
Jonboy's crazy cupcakes just got fed again for the umpteenth time -- are incoming feeds OK yet?

Back on this this afternoon... have made some good progress on photo feeds though, so look for that in the next few days...
